Day 6 – Optimize Page Titles & Meta Descriptions (Step-by-Step Guide)

The purpose of Day 6 is to optimize every important page on the website by writing clear, keyword-focused page titles and meta descriptions. These help search engines understand the page and encourage users to click your website in search results.


Step 1: Log in to the Website

Accessing the website so you can edit its SEO settings.

Tool

Using WordPress – Edit website pages, posts, titles, and SEO settings.

How to Access

Open your browser and visit:

https://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin

Replace yourwebsite.com with your client's website.

Enter the username and password provided by the client.

Free or Paid: ✅ Free (included with WordPress websites).


Step 2: Open the Page You Want to Optimize

Selecting a page to edit.

Steps

  1. Log in to WordPress.

  2. Click Pages.

  3. Click All Pages.

  4. Select the page you want to optimize.

Step 3: Identify the Page's Main Keyword

  2. Scroll to the Yoast SEO or Rank Math section below the page editor.

  3. Find the SEO Title field.

  • Rank Math: Rank Math — Free version available; Pro optional.

  1. Open Google Search Console.
